池袋皇家飯店 本館(西口)
Hotel · Tokyo
The Ikebukuro Royal Hotel is a budget hotel located near Ikebukuro Station, about a 5-minute walk away. Although the sign displays "Men and Women," the hotel is almost entirely populated by male guests. The main selling point is that guests can use the hotel's 24-hour sauna, steam room, large public bath, and open-air hot spring for free. Since the baths are conveniently located, clean, and open to the public, they attract a significant number of gay patrons, day and night. The clientele is mostly in their 20s and 30s, with gay guests making up about half the population. The steam room tends to be the main cruising area. However, the hotel rooms are rather dated, so guests should be prepared for that. Using the baths privately costs around 2,000 yen. ⚠️ Attention: Recent reports suggest that the bathhouse has increased patrols and surveillance. If you plan to visit, please exercise extra caution and be sure to maintain a low profile. Maintenance Notice: Due to hotel renovations, the sauna will be closed from May 7th (Thursday) to September 30th (Wednesday).
